Pet behavior problems are one of the most common reasons for the abandonment, surrender and euthanasia of otherwise healthy animals at shelters across the country. The great majority of these problems could have been either corrected or avoided with appropriate information and timely intervention.

The Paulding Humane Society hopes that by providing the frustrated pet owner with answers and links to resources available, a solution can be offered to avoid the surrender of your pet.

Every pet requires his or her basic needs to be met but it is essential to provide clear and consistent direction toward desirable behavior. A happy and healthy pet will, in turn, enrich the life of their owner and offer a lifetime of devoted companionship.
