To Report a Lost or Found Pet

Please go to the Paulding County Animal Control Shelter and complete a Lost/Found Report immediately.

If you have lost your pet, we recommend checking with the shelter at 770-445-1511 at least every other day.  Visit, search and don't give up! Contact other shelters in your area, also.   Pets have been known to be found several counties away and many months later.

Placing posters in your community is of great help, as well as in veterinary offices, newspaper ads and convenience stores.

Microchipping Available

Microchips are proving to be very effective in reuniting lost pets and their owners.  A simple and inexpensive way to insure that you can be located if your lost pet is found.

Inserted in the skin at the shoulder blades this tiny chip is a permanent means of identification that cannot be lost like a tag. If an animal with a chip comes into a shelter or is taken into a veterinarian’s office, a scanner can be passed over the animal and the scanner will pick up a number. The number is registered through the microchip company to the pet owner.

"Home Again" Microchips are available to all residents of Paulding County for a discounted price of $20 each.   Simply bring your pet or pets by the Paulding Animal Control Shelter during regular operating hours.
